# GIG Gulf — GEO Recommendations (data-based)
_Performance Director brief · 2026-06-18 · Evidence: AIVisibility/snapshots/2026-06-17.json — 20 buyer prompts × 3 engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Google), UAE, AXA→GIG attribution applied._

## Headline (the data)
GIG is cited in **83% of UAE AI answers (50/60)**. Strong across Category (92%), Competitive (100%), Trust (100%). The loss is **concentrated, not broad**: GIG genuinely loses on **3 of 20 prompts** — all Motor, all UAE government "how-to" utility queries, absent on **both** Google and ChatGPT (so it reads as a real content gap, not model noise). Weakest phase: Utility 33%. Weakest line of business: Motor 73% (the biggest book).

## Where GIG loses, and to whom (verbatim from the run)
| Prompt | GIG cited | Took the answer instead |
|---|---|---|
| "How do I check my black points in the UAE?" | 1/3 (missed Google, ChatGPT) | Daman |
| "How do I get a Dubai Police accident report by reference number?" | 1/3 (missed Google, ChatGPT) | Yallacompare, Orient |
| "How do I check and pay Dubai traffic fines?" | 1/3 (missed Google, ChatGPT) | Daman |

These are high-intent **motor moments** — someone checking fines or filing an accident report is an in-market motor-insurance buyer. GIG owns none of that answer; aggregators and Daman do.

## Recommendations

**R1 — Build a UAE Motor "how-to" utility hub. (Priority 1 · highest confidence)**
Three pages first, mirroring the exact losing queries: (1) checking black points, (2) getting a Dubai Police accident report, (3) checking/paying traffic fines. GIG-branded, FAQ + HowTo schema, factual and current, soft CTA into a motor quote. _Why, from data: cited 1/3 with competitors present on the highest-intent motor queries; this is the single clearest gap in the dataset._

**R2 — Reinforce comparison/claims content where GIG is present but a rival co-dominates. (Priority 2)**
On "best car insurance in Dubai", "cheapest for expats", and the GIG-vs-Sukoon head-to-head, GIG IS cited (3/3) but **Sukoon appears alongside 2–3×**. Action: a clear, factual "what GIG Gulf covers / agency repair / roadside" comparison page and a clean "how to claim with GIG Gulf" page (currently cited but thin). _Why, from data: GIG present but share-of-voice diluted by Sukoon._

**R3 — Fix the engine-specific failure: ChatGPT + Google. (Priority 2)**
GIG was absent on the utility prompts specifically on Google and ChatGPT while holding on Claude. Implication: a **crawlability / structured-content** issue, not a brand issue — the content either doesn't exist or isn't machine-readable to those crawlers. R1's schema work resolves most of this; confirm GPTBot/Googlebot can fetch the new pages.

**R4 — Protect AXA legacy. (Ongoing)**
Much of the 83% rides on AXA equity (GIG Gulf = rebranded AXA Gulf, ~25% of GWP from AXA intent). Keep AXA landing pages live and crawlable. _Note: any external GEO tool counting only "GIG Gulf" will under-report GIG and invent a category gap AXA already fills — discount such audits._

## Measurement governance (so the recommendations stay defensible)
- **Caveat: this is a single baseline run (n=1 per engine).** The 3 losing prompts are corroborated across 2 engines, which raises confidence — but before reporting trends, **re-run weekly with n≥3 sampling**.
- Coverage gap to close: GIG is currently **unmeasured on Perplexity, Gemini AI Overviews, Copilot**. Add before the next board read.
- We do **not** have real prompt-volume (demand) or AI-crawler-log data — recommendations are weighted by buyer-intent judgement, not query volume. Flag this when presenting.

## KPI / what success looks like
- Move the 3 utility/Motor prompts from **1/3 → 3/3** within 4 weeks of the hub going live.
- Lift Motor LOB from **73% → 85%+** and Utility phase from **33% → 70%+**.
- Hold overall ≥83% and reduce Sukoon co-citation on Motor category queries.
- Report weekly share-of-answer trend from snapshots.
